kind of a misleading headline b/c he wasn't making much relative to this industry, but still seems odd they are cashing in with such huge paychecks when they just got bailed out by taxpayers - i hope they have paid it all back already.

Ya there is not much a new CEO who is an internal hire can do to change the course of RIM quickly. It's like turning around an oil tanker you don't just turn the wheel and expect to be cruising in the other direction right away... they have to build new models and do the marketing over time.

very good point about the hyper fast payment, how bad could it have really been... also agree, let's see some of theses execs who orchestrated the collapse of the global financial meltdown leave for better salaries, I would be thrilled to see them leave so they don't do more of the same horrible...

This is a very positive sign about pending future overall economic growth, the auto makers are the engine, no pun intended, of the global economy especially if this forecast means the American consumer is ready to spend again.
