not sure this model has long term legs, i saw a 60-minutes special on this and it said the company has actually never made a profit and now everyone is offering the same thing- amazon, and all online sites seem to offer daily deals as well.

pretty silly spin by the CEO to say this is a bold new move and represents a nimbler company.... sounds to me like a desperate move to impress shareholders, it won't be easier to innovate with 2000 fewer employees, doesn't make any sense to make that argument.

This is impressive but let's remember android includes a lot of brands so it's still not as impressive as apple's 30% share, apple is much more dominant as a single brand... RIM is really struggling.

there was no doubt that harper wanted to cut the budget for public broadcasting.. he's a big free market guy and this has always been a priority of his to cut the taxpayer funded broadcaster... this will make it a more even playing field for private broadcasters.

people are so focused on greece that they forget about the crisis in spain along with portugal, italy and others... unemployment and debt is very high in all of these countries and extreme austerity measures are leading to mass protests.

They say every commodity bull market ends with a 50% correction, historically, so if that happens this time gold will fall from these levels down to about $1000 an ounce which would be a huge drop from here... then again if the U.S. dollar gets weak again gold will hold up and buck this historic...
